Benefits of Chiropractic Maintenance Care

A recent study published in the January 2011 issue of the prestigious SPINE medical journal showed that patients who received spinal manipulation every two weeks for 9 months after an initial one month period of 12 treatments had significantly lower pain and disability scores than those patients who had manipulation for just the initial one month period.

As a Richmond Hill chiropractor, I advocate the benefits of regular care and this study shows the positive trend toward the use of maintenance care in managing your chronic low back pain.  While you will certainly feel great after I get you out of your acute pain, wouldn’t it be prudent to keep it that way with ongoing preventative-maintenance?

Just like the car you drive, it’s better to stick with regular oil changes and maintenance service rather than waiting for a major problem to occur…which ends up being more time consuming and costly!
