Irene Scanlan, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
My career before becoming a massage therapist was in the film industry. I was a special make-up artist and pyrotechnician (i.e using fire and explosives to orchestrate blowing up vehicles, create smoke effects, burning down buildings, and staging fireworks)!
When I was a teenager, I rolled into a concrete pillar and was in a neck brace. Ever since then, I wanted to help people feel better and help fix their injuries.
I specialize in deep tissue therapeutic massage and sport related injuries, TMJ dysfunction, and craniosacral therapy (a gentle technique that benefits pain and stress by working on the flow of cerebrospinal fluid between the head and the entire spine). Whether you're recovering from an injury or trying to prevent one, I look forward to helping you function better!
Irene's favourite pastimes include painting, reading, card and board games, swimming, and walking on the beach. Halloween is her favourite holiday!
