Are you a shift-worker wanting to know what and when to eat? Wondering if hormone imbalance is a cause of your weight gain?
Dr. Misa designs personalized feeding plans that are both realistic and sustainable to your current lifestyle. She focuses on re-creating healthy eating habits and long-term weight loss using portions based on macros (proteins, carbs, fats) and intermittent fasting.
In the initial visit she will discuss your daily schedule (i.e. work, family, exercise times, etc.) take waist/hip/chest measurements, perform an InBody analysis, and collect a urine sample to test stress levels and acidity in the body. She may also recommend blood work to determine your thyroid function, iron, vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels, and carbohydrate metabolism.
The information obtained in the first visit is used by Dr. Misa to create your feeding plan which is given to you on the 2nd visit and will contain measured amounts of food to eat and will also provide guidance on the timing of your meals. Supplements may be recommended based on the test results.

Personalized Feeding Plan for Young Athletes (age 10-17)
Is your teenage son or daughter a competitive athlete? Young athletes need more overall calories with specific ratios of proteins, carbohydrates and fats depending on their sport. Dr. Misa will design a personalized feeding plan based your child’s weekly activity schedule and InBody Analysis during the initial visit. She will also teach your child how to fuel their body before, during and after competitions. Although supplements are not a major part of this program, they may be discussed with you and your child if they are required for maintaining his/her overall health.
Personalized Feeding Plan for Adult Athletes (age 18+)
Do you want to lose body fat while maintaining your overall muscle mass? Are you fatigued and recovering poorly after a training session? Are you trying to gain muscle mass? Dr. Misa can design a personalized feeding plan based on your body composition goals.
In the initial visit, she will discuss with you your training schedule, perform an InBody Analysis to determine muscle quality and body fat %, take waist/hip measurements, and collect a urine sample to test stress levels and acidity in the body. Blood work may also be ordered to check inflammatory status, thyroid function, muscle breakdown, iron storage, vitamin D and vitamin B12 levels, and carbohydrate metabolism.
The information obtained in the first visit is used by Dr. Misa to develop your feeding plan based on total calories and protein/carbohydrate/fat ratios to reach your goals. Your feeding plan is given to you on the 2nd visit and will contain measured amounts of food to eat and will also provide guidance on the timing of your meals. Dr. Misa may also implement techniques such as carb cycling and intermittent fasting when appropriate. Supplements may be recommended based on the test results.
